Direct to Garment, Digital Print
Digital Printing, commonly referred to as Direct to Garment printing, is the latest technological breakthrough in the garment industry. It employs a four color process technique that can create any color within the design by utilizing 4 colors of ink in the application. This process is common in the printing industry, but very new to the imprinted garment business. At Streamline Design, we have equipment that can print on both light and dark garments. The printers use water based inks which provide a very “soft hand” feel to the finished print. The most common uses for this format are highly intricate, multi-color designs and shirts utilizing photographic images in their content. We can produce as few as five pieces and as many as two thousand. This process, though machine driven like embroidery, requires a keen artistic vision to produce results that can be incredibly realistic.
